The purpose of Tesla Inc. is aimed at bringing its driver -laden taxis to California and Arizona because the car maker plays an extension of last month’s limited rollout heels in Austin.

Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk has predicted on his social media service X that Tesla Robotics could launch in San Francisco Bay Area “in a month or two,” in the post -regulatory approval. He said the car maker plans to expand its service area in Austin this weekend.

The state agency told Bloomberg in an e -mail statement that Tesla has also contacted the Arizona Department for Transport to start a certification process for autonomous vehicles. The Department of Transportation said that Tesla has expressed interest in working in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. Decision on the company’s requests by the end of this month – including the driver and without operations.

The automaker did not respond to the request to comment on Arizona’s debate, which has not been reported before.

Musk is repeating Tesla around the future pursuit such as driverless vehicles, artificial intelligence and humanoid robots as its traditional car business struggle. The CEO has a long track record of offering timelines related to independent driving ambitions that failed to meet the company.

In another X post on Thursday, Musk said its launch will be “the latest” in the Grook Tesla cars, produced by XAI.

Tesla shares jumped 4.7 percent in New York on Thursday. The stock is 23 % less this year.

Tesla has recently provided an independent ride -powered service for a small group of supporters and shareholders in a limited area of Austin. The car maker has also indicated before that after Texas, California will be at number one.

Bloomberg first reported in February that the company was known as the California Public Utility Commission’s Transportation Charter Party Carrier Permit at the end of last year.

Tesla has told officials of the California Department of Motor Vehicles that it plans to adopt a phased approach to work in the state, which begins with pre -arranging riders using employees using a safety driver.

The agency said on Thursday that Tesla did not apply for the driverless testing or deployment permit with DMV.

“Tesla has obtained an independent vehicle testing permit for public road testing with a protective driver since 2014, DMV said in an email.” “If Tesla plans to do the driverless testing or the deployment of independent technology, it will have to apply for a proper permit.”

Investors are closely looking at robotics expansion, which can be complicated by regulatory obstacles, technical boundaries or traffic incidence. US Auto Safety Regulators have already said that they are looking for Tesla Robotics, who were stationed in Austin on the first day, violating traffic rules.

Although the Texas launch included only a handful of models Wii vehicles, Musk said that Tesla would spread to a thousand vehicles in a few months, and later introduce a cyber cab made with no pedal or steering wheel.

If Tesla can work on its expansion plans. Analysts have said it could pose a threat to both the independent taxi companies led by Vemo, and the standard riding providers, including Uber Technologies Ink.

Alexander Potter, a Piper Sandler analyst, said in a note Thursday, “This rapid robotics deployment can launch Tesla’s attack on existing joint mobility models, including other robotics network operators.” For Tesla’s stock, “the faster it develops the rollout (without major accidents), the better it will be.”
