Need to check the prices or availability of a local shop? Generally, you have to call. But now, Google’s search engine can do this by using AI to call for you and recover information.
On Wednesday, the company announced that it was adding a “AI -powered calling” feature directly into Google Search by offering an option through search results.
Tech Dev said, “From pet grooming to dry cleaning requirements, the search can now call the business to get pricing and availability information from you – without you need to take the phone.”
The company actually launched this potential for Google Assistant as Duplex in 2018. When you inquire for a specific business services around you, it is now offering to find this feature. If you click on the button, Google’s AI can compare not only a local business, but also multiple, and results, depending on your request, a comprehensive list of pricing and availability can be found.
In addition, Google can call the restaurant about the AI table waiting hours. The purpose is to help consumers save energy and time, while “creating new opportunities to easily buy businesses.” The company added, “This ability is now starting to all US search users, with high limits for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra users.”
Despite the benefits of consumers, this technology can lead to business problems, especially if they are bombed Google AI calls. However, the company has created a support page, which includes information on how businesses can go out on their Google Business page.
The support page also notes: “When you get a Google phone, you can tell us that you do not want to receive more calls. For example, you can say: ‘Please remove my business from your list.”

In the past, some businesses have reported positive interaction with Google’s phone, saying that it feels easily using English to understand humans. But in other cases, businesses have ignored AI -powered calls because no ID of the collar ID has appeared.
In the meantime, Google says its AI will refrain from calling the business at night and early in the morning. All automatic calls were recorded for “quality assurance”. The company’s support page also notes that this feature is becoming available throughout the United States except five US states: Indiana, Louisiana, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska.
