They have their own opinions expressed by business partners.
Every basketball player has dreamed of making it in NBA – but for most, this dream is considered unrealistic.
“When you stop playing, a part of your identity as a basketball player ends,” Scotti Weaver, which former College Hopper changed the basketball content creator. “It always makes sense.”
Although playing abroad or playing in semi -pro leagues is still an option, it rarely comes with the identity that the NBA offers. With the next chapter, weaver has to change it.
Jointly with basketball fellow creator Da Vinta Frega, the next chapter (TNC) is a Premier 1v1 basketball league that features the most vibrant street bowlers of the game. In a reminder of cage fighting, players add heads for cash prizes.

Prolog
Weaver was in the world of street ball content long before TNC, he began working with Bolisiff, with his East Coast Squad squad, where he met with standout player Isaiah, alias Slim Raper. He left the Bellevings and began making his street ball material with a group called Wild Hunt. Weaver will bring his wild hint team to local parks and film five on -five basketball videos.
“We had a group of boys who had a roles,” says Weaver. “Salem Dinkers, people doing creative drawing, big speakers. Everyone came with their personality and energy.”
The five -on -five format helped attract large crowds, but made it difficult to pay for the weavers permanently involved.
He explained, “We will help in paying the team, we asked after the event whether they want to run some one -on -one with people in the park.” “When this video comes out, we will post it as the next chapter – and what is born will be how we pay you. So your ability to earn is directly with your performance in the video.”
This model encouraged players to talk in garbage, play shiny play and turn sports into even better content.
He started presenting one of his players, Laha Moon, after the run of each park in one -on -one, which challenged the best and brave from the crowd. After an unbeaten performance, Moon finally met his match at former college Hopper Nasir Kaur, whose dominant made him a standout in society.
Realizing that he was on something, Weaver brought the core as another prominent player, and founded that he would eventually become the next chapter. Season One included seven players, each of them compensated to what extent their videos performed. They shot seven episodes in a single day and posted them in several months.
“Season One did a great job,” says Weaver. “The players began to see how much money they could earn on it.”
What began as a way to earn some extra money for players, unexpectedly developed a carrier route for streetball creators.
“We just paid attention to what people want to see,” says Weaver. “What we are making is a basketball league-even if they are one-on-one, two, three, or five-on-five. Right now, we are focused on them because they are far more sale. But we never want to stop the idea of doing all this.”

HOPS ” UFC ‘
The TNC marketing strategy channels the spirit of Vince McChun and Dana White, which builds stars by highlighting unique personalities and skills. YouTube phenom dentie Freega knows the process well, which has extended its personal channel to more than a million followers.
“We are trying to build a UFC of basketball with each other,” says Farga.
He pointed to Ji Liu, a TNC standout player, whom the marketing team cleverly labeled “Internet shift hoopper”.
“There are a lot of players like this-each is with the small, unique parts of his game that explains who he is. For example, take Nasas. For example, he is the dominant. He just does not win-and ensures that everyone knows it. He flew over it, though he flew over it that he was standing on a crusade.
Next chapter for the next chapter
Although most TNC players are a street bowler, the league is experimenting with a new format on June 6: One -on -one showdown between former NBA players Lance Stephenson and Michael Basley, which, is at 100,000 stake.
The match -up will work for the end of Season 2, which includes 20 episodes of two professionals coaching the opposing squad, which is expected for their long -awaited fee -off. The event will be available through a salary per view, which is a bold move for the league, whose audience is accustomed to free content.
Nevertheless, the weaver is confident that the value of the fans will be seen.
“I think it’s about your audience to prove that when you ask them to spend your money, the value of the price will have to be – like, wow, I got something very good in return – instead, it feels like I am getting free, but now I have to pay for it.”
Although some details are still being finalized, weaver estimates that about 95 % of TNC content will be free, about 5 % of the pay wall.
While others – like the former NBA star Tracy McGradi, has also searched the 1V1 basketball space with his LED league, the next chapter is developing its way from the ground.
“Unlike the TRC League, we don’t need to grow big,” says Farga. “What we are building is quite different, and I believe it has the ability to become a billion dollar industry.”
