- A new study ranks 117 global airports on family -friendly facilities such as sports areas, nursing rooms, ruling fares, and security options.
- Several US airports made the whole list, but no one ranked the highest ranking at the number 23 at number 20.
Traveling with young children is not in the park, not even in the best situations. But as they move, not all airports are made equal.
The British -based company Caddy recently released its Little Flyers Index, which examined 117 airports around the world and ranked them according to their children’s friendship. The score was determined on the basis of factors that parents care the most: the number of restaurants available, the number of children’s game areas, the number of breastfeeding and nursing rooms, rental, family -friendly security lines, and flying from the airport each year. After that, each airport was scored out of 100.
After declining numbers, Spain’s Menurka Airport Airport (MAH), located on the Mediterranean coast, came up with a score of 95. This small airport has a small number of children’s four games, three nursing rooms, eight meal options, and a small number of annual passengers, making it easier to visit compared to other airports.
The top ten have other airports, Latvia’s Riga Airport (AIX), 12 restaurants, three playing areas, four nursing rooms, rental rotating, and family -friendly security. The third in the list is Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) in Poland, with 25 restaurants, three players, 19 nursing rooms, rented roaming, and family -friendly safety options.

According to the study, the world’s 10 best family -friendly airports are:
- Menurka Airport, Spain
- Riga International Airport, Latvia
- Warsaw Chopin Airport, Poland
- Montreal Trudeau International Airport (Yul), Canada
- Oslo Airport (OSL), Norway
- Istanbul Airport (IST), Turkey
- Levin-Central-Express Airport Airport H (Les), France
- London Luton Airport (LTN), UK
- Munich Airport (MUC), Germany
- Copenhagen Airport (CPH), Denmark
Several US airports appeared on the full Little Flyer Index, but no one made the top 20. The high -ranking US airport is at the 23rd place, Tennessee is in the Memphis International Airport (Mei).
For parents planning family friendly holidays, airports that offer young children’s facilities can be an important game changer. Spending savings at the airport with a sports area can mean a completely peaceful second stage or a total toddler melting. Nursing station means a difference between pain -free travel and a newborn, a suit case, and zero patience to rotate into the dirty bathroom stall. Hopefully, more airports will be overcome, and there will be as much play areas as we do for eyebrows pencils.
