Uber filed a lawsuit through FTC
The US Federal Trade Commission tried the Uber Technologies Inc., claiming that the Ridshir and Delivery Company have hurt consumers through “deception billing and cancellation methods” as part of its flagship subscription service.
In a complaint filed on Monday, the FTC alleged that the company charged consumers for their Uber One Product without their consent, misled users about the savings of the program and made it a “irrational” burden to cancel the service. According to a FTC statement, the agency found that users may need 32 steps to take and cancel 23 screens.
The company denied the FTC’s claims, saying that the company does not sign up or charge consumers without their consent, and that most people now take 20 seconds or less. A spokesman said, “We are disappointed that the FTC has chosen to move forward with this action, but they are confident that the courts will agree that we already know: Uber One’s sign -up and cancellation process clearly and follow the letter and spirit of the law.”
Uber threatened to leave Colorado
Uber is threatening to leave Colorado. Axios Reported:
A bill transferred to Colorado’s legislature can force a major change in how Rid Schibly companies like Uber and Left work – and Ober says if it passes, it may have to shut down services in the state.
House Bill 1291 will require strict safety measures for radiation drivers, including compulsory dash cameras, audio recording of rides, and banning driving after the use of hashish. The proposal also includes an increase in the quality of driver’s accountability.
Uber officials say they support better safety but argue that, as in writing, is impossible to enforce this bill.
Blank also raised concerns about legal responsibility, saying that the bill could also make the driver responsible for minor driver actions, such as offering a water bottle to the passenger.

Legal experts say Uber is the focus of potential cases.
The riders themselves are also divided on the proposal – some say that additional safety measures will provide peace of mind, while others are worried about losing easy transport options.
