TV personality Tori Spelling has admitted that she is living like a “borderline hoarder,” confessing that she no longer feels comfortable having people visit her lavish California rental home because it has fallen into such a state of disarray.

The 52-year-old actress opened up about the falling standards at her property—which is understood to be located in Calabasas and costs Spelling around $12,000 a month—during a new appearance on her iHeartRadio podcast, “misSpelling.”

Returning to the show after a two-month hiatus, the “Beverly Hills, 90210” star explained that she had taken time off to deal with a spate of illnesses, revealing that one particularly bad bout had left her unable to work for eight weeks.

“I know I have had a past of getting sick a lot and frequently, but this one took me down eight weeks. I couldn’t work,” she said.

Spelling blamed her five children for the outbreak at her property, joking: “I mean it started with the five petri dishes that live in my house, but they bring things home, that’s normal. And, you know, you work through it, you get sick.”

However, her co-host, Amy Sugarman, claimed there may be another factor to blame for her ongoing health issues.

“[Your] lifestyle contributes to why you get sick so much,” she said, hinting that Spelling’s surroundings may also be playing a role in her illnesses.

To prove that point, Sugarman asked Spelling to send her a photo of the current state of her home, then exclaiming, “Oh, it’s not good,” when she saw the image.

“I don’t want to be mean, but … the Christmas tree is up,” Sugarman continued, looking at the snap.

“Damn,” Spelling replied, “I thought I cut that out!”

Her co-host, however, refused to back down on her critique of the state of Spelling’s home, insisting that there is plenty of potential within the dwelling but that it is hard to see for all the mess.

“You can see the bones in here, like the shelves could be really pretty; the living room could be really pretty. You have beautiful things. You can’t even sit in there,” she said.

“It’s borderline hoarder, I’m not going to lie,” Sugarman added, as Spelling was forced to agree.

The barrage didn’t end there, with the co-host telling Spelling that while her own home looks like “two sacks of s–t,” the Hollywood heiress’ property looks like it has “400 sacks of s–t in [it] right now.”

Despite agreeing with much of Sugarman’s comments, Spelling did attempt to defend herself, noting that, while her living room may be a mess, the kitchen—which is where everyone typically “hangs and eats”—is clean.

Still, Spelling appeared somewhat mortified by the state of her property, admitting that she has even stopped having guests over to the property because it’s so messy, noting that the policy even applies to the iHeart Radio crews who record her show.

When asked by Sugarman whether she would consent to hosting the president of the radio network, Spelling responded: “I would have to pass. I’d be like, ‘Where? I’ll come to you wherever you are.’ I would change everything. I stopped having people over.”

The A-lister noted that her home wasn’t always a mess, explaining that when she was with her ex-husband, Dean McDermott, he would keep their dwelling clean.

“When Dean and I were together and lived together, I was able to have a house that was presentable because he wouldn’t live like that. We were working at different times, so I had downtime when he’d work,” she said.

Spelling further insisted that if someone helped her organize it, she would be able to maintain it.

“My busy, chaotic work and children lifestyle is not going to change. In fact, in the next year, there’s going to be things coming up, it’s going to be escalated. So I need to be on my A-game, and once someone comes in and does all this, yes, I can maintain it if I have someone helping me,” she said.

Spelling previously questioned if she was a “hoarder” during a candid conversation with Robin Zasio, psychologist from the show “Hoarders.”

She also revealed she had 50 storage units the size of “shipping containers” as well as a bill of $80,000. She ultimately had to sell the items inside to pay the bill.

Spelling reportedly resides in a $12,000-a-month rental in Calabasas with her five children: Liam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 8.

In 2023, Spelling made headlines when it was revealed that she lived in an RV following a severe mold issue in her previous rental, which caused chronic illnesses.

Spelling is most famous for her role as Donna Martin on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” a TV series produced by her father, Aaron Spelling. She’s also appeared in “Scary Movie 2,” “Trick,” and “House of Yes.”

The actress was raised in a spectacular Holmby Hills estate that was custom-built for her parents and became widely known as Spelling Manor.

Aaron and his wife, Candy Spelling, built the sprawling estate in 1990 and lived there for more than 20 years. After Aaron died, Candy placed the home on the market for the sky-high price of $150 million. It was eventually sold for $85 million in 2011 to Formula 1 heiress Petra Ecclestone.
