
More than 100 homes were damaged after a tornado touched down in a residential area outside Houston, Texas officials said Monday.
No injuries were reported.
Photos and drone video posted on Facebook by Harris County Precinct 4 constables showed roofs being torn off by springs. Some debris blocked roads.
According to Constable Mark Herman’s office, the damage affected the Monumental Northwest neighborhood.
The Houston Fire Department dispatched five members of its sawing team to cut and remove the downed trees, spokesman Ruston Rawlings said.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for southeast Texas, including Houston, until 1 a.m. Tuesday. It issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of southeast Texas.
