President Trump’s mutual rates have been exempted as semiders, but do not expect that it will begin.
The President said today that he still plans to pay the foreign -made chips. “Chips are starting very soon,” Trump told Air Force One reporters.
Semiciders, wood, and pharmaceuticals were among the categories that are exempt from mutual import rates. But Trump is indicating that everyone will be targeted over time. “We are now looking at pharmaceuticals, as a separate (tariff) category, as a separate (tariff) category.”
It is unclear how much tariffs will be done to these categories. Earlier, Trump had warned that he could pay the semiconductors to 25 % or more.
In the meantime, the PC builders and the tech industry are still refusing to declare mutual rates. The President plans to impose huge taxes on Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Malaysia and Cambodia – all major markets outside China that produce PC components, video game consoles and phones.

In addition, Trump is adding another 34 % tariff on Chinese imports, which has reduced the total tariff amount by 54 %. A baseline for all affected countries will be implemented on April 5, while additional Levies will be mobilized on April 9. But in particular, Canada and Mexico will not be targeted under new taxes.
Trump is launching a policy to force companies to move their manufacturing to the United States. Nevertheless, mutual rates are expected to raise the prices of all kinds of electronics, squeezing consumer wallets. One analyst estimates that the model depends on the model to cover the tariff costs, depending on the model. The price of the next switch 2 can also rise significantly as Nintendo develops most of its hardware in Vietnam and Cambodia, which will face 46 % and 49 % tariffs, respectively, under Trump’s plan.
