The popular AI Transcript Toll Outter has been targeted by a federal case alleging that he “recorded, read, learned, learned, and used the contents of people’s conversations without the necessary consent.” It has also claimed that the Outer used these conversations to train his machine learning technology.
A complaint filed in the US District Court for the northern district of California has focused on an automotive product, which produces real -time copy of Google Mate, Zoom, and Microsoft teams.
The case states that the Outter not only recorded the account holders who uses the Outter Note, but also meets participants who do not subscribe to the Outter services. It is argued that since the Outer failed to disclose that when he was active and recording meetings, when other members did not agree, it was a violation of the Federal and California privacy laws. They include Electronic Communication Privacy Act 1986 And Attack of California Privacy Act. This class is looking for action.
The plaintiff, Justin Brever, participated in a zoom meeting in February 2025, where the Outer Notekar used to copy the meeting in which he attended. Since he did not know whether he was being recorded or his copy was being given his consent, the complaint states that it allowed the o -“to” wire his communication “.
Although the Otter Privacy Policy clearly states that it has “identified” its audio recording, it means that the recording was changed to remove the identity data, but it identified research on the ineffectiveness of these techniques. The complaint also highlighted that one of the rivals of the Outter, Red.com, allows any partner, including those who do not use reading.

This is not the first time that privacy issues have been raised about the services of the Outer. In 2024, the University of Massachusetts banned Outer Dot A, as its Department of IT has said it has violated the consent law of all parties in the state. NPRWho covered the legal fodder, noted that A Polyteco Journalists who interviewed a human rights activist raise concerns in 2024 that the Chinese government may try to access the duplicate of their dialogue with political dissent.
