Most of the need to be able to drive in the United States, and many of us need to have a car. Breaking the law behind the wheel, though, can endanger anyone’s ability to go to work, in which state governments have the ability to cancel licenses for some crimes. However, a new proposed law in Virginia can give the state another procedure to punish some careless drivers: rapid limits in the car.
HB -2096 has set up an intelligent speed assistance program in Virginia, which would be an alternative to suspend a person’s driver’s license if he commits certain crimes related to speed and has collected a certain number of points. The proposed legislation has demanded the court to order the driver to be enrolled in the program if the man has been convicted of negligence driving and he is driving more than 100 miles per hour.

Under the law, the individual will need to install the device on every vehicle, which the person owns or has registered and he will prohibit the person who does not have such a system. It would be misleading to tamper with such systems or ignore them, which the person has to pay for himself. If approval is received, the law will be enforced in July 2026, which will make such a program the first state.
According to Washington PostWashington DC made similar legislation in 2024, and today other states are considering similar laws. New York is one such state. Disable speed lumors are designed to warn drivers when they exceed the post limit. There are active systems that prevent the driver at a speedy, which seems to be the Virginia law.
The Bill’s House and the Senate version have stated that a high -speed limit is one “that limits the speed in which the motor vehicle is capable of traveling based on the applicable speed range where such a motor vehicle is operating.”

California Governor Gwen Newsome vetoed a bill that would require the need to set the passive speeds of cars in the state, which would exceed the speed limit and rotate on the drivers. The European Union already needs technology in new cars, which is part of a block effort to reduce rapid and rapidly -related accidents and deaths.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 12,151 people died in the United States in 2022. The drivers aged 15-20 was the highest mortality rate this year.
