US Auto Safety Investigators are remembering more than 1,200 self -driving vehicles after opening the investigation last year and removing the risks of collision with chains, gates and other roadway barriers.

The company said that the memory affects the company’s fifth -generation automatic driving system software, affecting 1,212 video vehicles.

Vemo has more than 1,500 vehicles on the road across San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Austin, Texas, and is running more than 250,000 full autonomous payment rides a week. It intends to include services in Atlanta, Miami and Washington, DC.

Vemo said he was aware of 16 collisions with chains, doors and other obstacles at the end of 2022 and 2024. But there was no injury as a result of these incidents, according to a report filed in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The NHTSA launched a May 2024 investigation into the performance of the Wemo Self -driving vehicles when it was likely to violate traffic safety rules after reports of its robotics driving behavior.

The agency said several incidents of investigation include “clashes with clearly visible items that would be expected to avoid a qualified driver.” The investigation is open.

The problem has been resolved with a software update for its automated driving system starting in November and has been deployed throughout the fleet by the end of December, Wemo said.

The company said Wednesday, “Vemo provides more than 250,000 salaries every week in some of the most difficult driving environments in the United States.”

He added, “Our record of reducing more than tens of tens of millions of our full independent mail shows that our technology is safer of roads.”

In February 2024, Vemo immediately withdrew 444 self -driving vehicles after two minor collision in Arizona immediately, saying the software error could predict the movement of the wrong vehicle of automatic vehicles.

Regulatory scrutiny has increased after an incident of 2023, including Vemo and General Motors, including self -driving vehicles, including Vemo and General Motors, where a passage was seriously injured by a cruise vehicle. GM cut the cruise financing and added it to its broader tasks.

In May 2024, Vimo withdrew more than 670 vehicles in June after hitting a wood utility pole in Phoenix. The company said automatic driving software may fail to avoid pole or similar.

Last week, Amazon.com’s self -driving unit, Zox, agreed to remember 270 driver lace vehicles when an unmarried robotoxy was involved in the accident with a passenger car in Las Vegas, Nevada. No one was injured.
