Let’s just say things are increased With my 2023 Subaru BRZ project car since the last update.
I’m slowly building up the BRZ, first with a track day at Laguna Seca, then with some basic mods like Recaro bucket seats, new tires, and a Brembo Pistachio Big Brake kit to complete the treatment. But it was finally time to put it all together for our YouTube channel, so we took it to a track day and tested all the methods I’ve done so far.
Keen viewers will quickly realize that most of these methods have already been blogged about, so there’s actually an element of movie magic to it. What actually happened was that I installed some parts during the track day for the video, and then wrote about them later. But this was the first real track test of any part, and I thought it would be a fun challenge to see if we could go from zero to hero on a single track day.
We also found out which mods are really worth it. Some modes are perfect for setting fast lap times. Others are good for simple comfort and consistency. Either way, the mod has to work and improve the experience in a meaningful way. The stopwatch doesn’t lie, and neither does the driver.
This video is just part of a series. We have more in the tank, and I took the BRZ a lot more as a track car. For now, sit back and enjoy our first entry into YouTube Project Cars, and let us know what you think.
