Oisode, the 2025 RPG from Ossidian originally released on Xbox Series X/S and PC, is coming to PlayStation 5. Announced during the New Game+ showcase, the new version of Evade will be available on Sony’s systems on February 17, 2026—one day short of the one-year anniversary of the game’s original release. Microsoft remains the publisher of the game after purchasing Ossidian in 2018.
The game, a first-person action RPG set in the world of Pillars of the World, tasks players with investigating a mysterious plague, and fighting their way through the sprawling world with a mix of weapons and magic.
Along with the PS5 version, Ossidian will also release an anniversary update for the game for all systems. This update will add a “New Game Plus” mode, which lets you transfer all your accessory gear to a new character, reset to level 1, and fight modified enemies. It also adds a photo mode, three new playable races, the ability to change your appearance from the overworld, and a new variety of weapons. The PS5 version will contain all the post-release content and updates the game has received so far.
Evoed Premium Edition is available for pre-order through the PlayStation Store. No plans for a physical release have been announced.
Evade received a 6/10 in GameSpot’s review. “On multiple fronts, Evod has promised so much that it has struggled to follow through,” wrote Alessandro Barbosa. “While its combat feels impressive and gives you options to experiment with, it’s overall reliance on gear upgrades and scarce resources prevents you from fully enjoying the creative freedom it initially advertises.”
Evade is the latest in a long line of Microsoft-published games to come to PS5, including Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Forza Horizon 5. A PS5 and Switch 2 version of South of Midnight were also announced during the 2025 Game Awards.
